SYNOPSIS
Jedi Knight Ki-Adi-Mundi enters the derelict freighter swinging his lightsaber to ward off any of the divviks, nasty parasites with poisonous bites and toxic gas within. As he and his merc droid companion/pilot FLTCH take out these creatures, he wonders how he will rescue his daughter and her friends and escape.

Ki makes it to a chamber free of divviks, only to discover the remains of the crew. He notes the re-breathers will be handy to aide in his rescue. FLTCH patches through a transmission from the elder Nar-Somo-Dali, who informs Ki that an elder, Dorr-Femi-Bonmi, was responsible for Ydde's murder and was smuggling items for the pro-tech movement. Dorr has informed the elders that the swoops ridden by the gang of boys were sabotaged and Nar-Somo-Dali feels Ki and his daughter are at risk.

In the small lifepod, onboard the infected freighter, Sylvn tells Ephant Mon that her father will rescue her. He disagrees, and indicates that he is hoping Ki will actually set him free. Ephant Mon informs the Jedi that he will begin a countdown to launch the escape pod. Unfortunately, the outer hatch is closed and will kill them, unless Ki opens it from inside. Maj jumps on the Chevin, but gets a laser blast in the chest. Ki has no choice but to go along with Mon's plan.

Ki orders FLTCH to get a fix on the escape pod as he leaps from the hatch. The droid retrieves the Jedi and they descend onto Tatooine, narrowly avoiding a Trade Federation ship, and land near the abandoned lifepod. It's at this moment, when his daughter is wrenched from him, that he realizes how much he loves her.

Inside Jabba's palace, the mighty Hutt is miffed with Ephant Mon for bringing the child of a Jedi. He wants to get his associates departed without the Jedi noticing. Ephant Mon suggests distracting him, by using Sylvn and Twin as bait in a trap. An ion storm is moving in and they are strapped to a pole on a tower. Twin asks Sylvn if her dad will save them. Sylvn begins to cry. Her dad isn't all powerful, he just does his best like everybody else.

SYNOPSIS
Ki has returned to his homeworld of Cerea after many years away. He hears the words of his master, Yoda, in his head. Yoda questions his motives for returning. Is it for justice or for revenge?

Ki returns to his family farm, and regales his family with stories of the Jedi. later in the evening he asks his father about the Raider, Bin-Garda-Zon. His father knows little, but gives Ki the speculation and rumor that permeate the land; how Bin-Garda leads the Raiders from a throne of skulls.

Ki, disguising himself as a drifter, enters the camp and challenges the Raider chief. he is shocked to see the chief is a female. She beat Bin-Garda many years ago in the khana for leadership, and she is more than willing to teach this youngster a lesson. Ki notices Bin-Garda, a dried up, hollow old man, who tends to the oorgs in the camp sty.

The chief order Ki bound, and proceeds to beat him with her weighted spear. In other times, Ki might have used the Force to aide him. But challenged by his emotions and the reality of the situation, he falls to repeated blows.
