Two words for why you should buy this set. Pilot. Droid. This is the first set sold in stores that includes a non-basic battle droid minifig. The only other source for one is the Shop-At-Home 3-pack which comes with OOM-9. Another reason is that this is the best bang for your buck when it comes to building an unstoppable army of LEGO battle droids. And, if you don't have the cash for the MTT, this is the 'mini-rig' version of it. In fact, there is a removable droid rack that has almost the exact same construction as the rack that goes in the front of the MTT.

Once you get beyond the droid rack, there's not very much in the way of features. There's a small adjustable sensor dish, and that's pretty much it.

On another note, it will be interesting to see how well this set sells, since it's the first one that has an original design. Still, with that spiffy Pilot Droid, I expect it will get quite a boost.
