I owe a lot of where I'm at today to Star Wars. It's the reason I met my wife, it's the reason I have my amazing job and it's why I've met so many wonderful people and been able to travel the world. Congratulations to George Lucas and the entire Star Wars community for 40 years of the greatest Saga ever told. Here's to the next 40!

Its hard to believe it's been 40 years since we all witnessed the magic of Star Wars on the big screen. Many of us were small children when we were immersed in this galaxy that George Lucas created. It has enriched our lives in so many ways and made us all life long fans. Lets take the time to celebrate this milestone and hope that we have many more years to enjoy this rich universe that has brought us so much joy over the years. Happy 40th Star Wars!!

As we celebrate forty years of feeling the Force, we'd like to thank George Lucas for everything he has given us. His vision has fed our imaginations and provided us with so much inspiration. We can't even think of where we'd be without a galaxy far, far away!

Here in Australia we are already celebrating Star Wars turning 40 years old. Time certainly flies when you're having fun doesn't it? If you fancy another touch of nostalgia you can check out the first Australian review of Star Wars care of The Age newspaper. "And when we've all seen Star Wars... we can sit back and await the countless imitations, not to mention the film's own, inevitable, sequel." Sequels? Did someone say sequels?! Oh, and Happy Towel Day too.

Remember when news of the 40268 R3-M2 polybag came out and the LEGO Star Wars community were divided over its authenticity? Well, here's another supposed polybag - this time it's a Coastal Defender Stormtrooper - aka Shoretrooper - aka Scarif Trooper. Again there's no clue on provenance nor how it will be distributed, and the number 40176 has yet to be attached to a set in the Brickset database. So if you want to put on a pair of Scepticales(TM) before you click on the thumbnail above you'd be perfectly entitled too. Thanks to Anon for sharing his find.

UPDATE: It has been pointed out that, on closer inspection, this minifig has a kama which makes it a Shoretrooper Squad Leader. Thanks to Jens Hansen for pointing this out.

Just as the month of Star Wars lets out its last gasp of breathe, the LEGO certified shop at Dreamworld has scored the polybagged 30611 R2-D2. Available on on May 27th - and for one day only - anyone making a LEGO Star Wars purchase of AU$120 or more will receive one of these promotional exclusives for free. Stocks are limited and this offer runs at the same time as the 501st Stormtroopers Weekend so competition will be fierce.
