While long-term collectors typically know instinctively where to look in the archive when they want to check something, with new collectors coming into the hobby all of the time, it was felt that we needed to present each of the different packaging individually. Furthermore, with single packaging styles covering multiple lines, as has been the case in recent years, the landing page needed to accommodate that in a more intuitive manner.
This new approach has also meant doing away with the banner images and instead utilizing smaller thumbnails to apply a similar layout to our
Special Feature Archive. Each thumbnail represents one of the many packaging changes the line has seen since its 1995 launch. In cases where a line had multiple packaging, all the related thumbnails will link to the same archive directory but will take you directly to the items in the selected packaging.
As the project's name implies, this will be a continual evolution and will be improved upon constantly.
