The Star Wars Evolutions sets have had a nice run the past few years, with super articulation and lots of accessories for the figures. It's a nice way to get a trio of great action figures united under a single theme all at once.

With the basic line now having caught up to the same level of quality, the Evolutions will come to an end with this final wave, slated for Wal-Mart stores this September.

The lineup includes:
Clone Commandos:
  • Alpha (ARC Trooper)
  • Fi Skirata (Republic Commando)
  • Storm Commando (Imperial Special Forces)

    Imperial Pilot Legacy II:
  • Clone Pilot (Republic Gunship)
  • Clone Pilot (V-Wing Starfighter)
  • Imperial Pilot (TIE Fighter)

    Rebel Pilot Legacy III:
  • John Branon (Red Squadron)
  • Shira Brie (Rogue Squadron)
  • Jake Farrell (A-Wing Pilot)

Fans may notice that "Alpha" is incorrectly colored red, when he should be blue. Since there was already a blue version in a previously-released Comic Pack, and this figure is essentially a repaint of that version, one could pretend this is a Captain Fordo figure from the Clone Wars animated series.

UPDATE: It turns out that Alpha DID in fact wear red armor in Star Wars Insider 74, an illustration of which can be seen here. Thanks to my fellow reporter Jayson over at Yakface for the tip!

A nice touch on the TIE Fighter Pilot, which includes the "ace" stripes on the mask, briefly seen in A NEW HOPE.

And Shira Brie was never part of Rogue Squadron, was she? But longtime Marvel Comics fans may well remember her as the love interest of Luke Skywalker, before her turn to the dark side when she became Lady Lumiya.
