For most of us the the Spring holidays are only a week away, and that means children who need entertaining and distracting. And though it's already been out for two months the latest activity book from Egmont - LEGO Star Wars' A New Galactic Hero might just be what your little Master Builders need to fill a few hours. Though the title doesn't really give any indication - or match up - with what's inside it is well worth a look, and Son of LEGOscum is ready to share his findings.

Son of LEGOscum spent an hour exploring the activities in this book, and though it is recommended for an age group that he falls directly in the middle of he did find it a bit childish. Then again, this is a kid who was practically conceived by Star Wars and has been immersed in it since the day he was born - he even carries a Star Wars characters name as his moniker.
It's like one of the Christmas annuals that I already have, except that it doesn't have a hard cover. The cover is soft which kind of means it can get torn or folded. Inside the book are some great puzzles and games like spot the differences, and there are even a couple of comics and stories. The "Escape Slide" maze is really, really silly because it is so easy. My favourite game was the Death Star maze. I liked how it was on the giant laser dish and it guided me in to the center where the ventilation shaft was. The sticker sheets were fun and it was cool how there were special places to stick them in the book because I didn't want to use them anywhere else. It was like a special puzzle!
