Comicbook.com is reporting that the first issue of Marvel's new Star Wars series is set to sell over 1,000,000 copies! That shouldn't surprise any of our readers, since Star Wars is forever. But in terms of the comic market, really popular books may only sell 300-500,000 copies.

By comparison, Dark Horse's recent Star Wars #1 is reported as selling 100,000 copies, which is quite large for a publisher of that size. You can see a lot more data on press runs, and other big sellers at this link.

If you haven't already pre-ordered your copy, check out your Local Comic Store and reserve a copy. Star Wars #1 releases on January 14, 2015.
