Ten years ago today
it was officially announced that I had won the Hyperspace "Collect Your Bounty" Fan Club President contest. For months I worked at getting fans to renew their Fan Club membership. I did everything I could to reach out to the community, from going on podcasts to setting up a booth at Dallas Comic Con, and it worked. 2006 was definitely a memorable year for me with this win which included an all expense paid trip to SDCC, and prize package. I followed up this excitement in October with another new chapter in my life as I married my wife Shannon, with the 501st in attendance and Vader serving at the bar! This was hands down one of my best experiences within the Star Wars fan community, and is owed to my volunteer effort here at Rebelscum.com.
