Cherry Tree known for building silent servers and high-end workstations and custom computing, is taking their first foray into the Star Wars universe with a Death Star PC. Retailing starting at $1199 and available on Black Friday, this unit has some wow factor to it.
In addition to the nice aesthetic, it has a red under lighting feature and optional 1080p projector. The projector beams out of the canon area, so instead of destroying planets, you can beam out the screen. It will not work in really bright areas but still pretty cool. This feature will add another $200 to the price total but Cherry Tree designed the unit to be modular. Meaning, you can always buy the projector later or buy your own protector and install it.
Martin told us that the unit shown at SDCC is just a prototype and that we can expect the final unit to have more detail. Also the box will be well cushioned to assure the unit is not damaged during shipment.
