At War With The Empire which continues their effort to reprint storylines in collections, and place them in chronological order.
Eighteen issues of the
Empire title are collected here. The issue numbers are all over the place, but that was chronologically the nature of this series. They decided to tell stories, but set them during the reign of the Empire. It's still a great way to read some really good stories and get them in an approximate order of occurrence. With this being the first volume in the series, we can probably expect at least one more
Empire Omnibus to follow (The
Empire series ran for 40 issues, 2002-2006).
While this has some good stories ("Betrayal" and "Target: Vader" are two standouts), some of the more interesting
Empire issues will not be presented until the 2nd volume. Still, for a small sum ($24.99) readers will be treated to stories that take place right before
A New Hope, and lead to the downfall of the Empire itself!
