After last years
incredibly popular Inaugural Star Wars Half Marathon Weekend at Disneyland, it was only a matter of time before Disney World announced a
Star Wars themed weekend for the Orlando parks. runDisney will produce a Dark Side themed event taking place April 14-17, 2016 which includes a 5k, 10k, kids races and a Half Marathon. Runners will have the option of competing in a special Dark Side Challenge which consists of running both the 10k and Half Marathon for an additional medal.
For those that plan to run both the Disneyland and Disneyworld
Star Wars Half Marathon races in 2016, you can also look forward to the Kessel Run Challenge medal, a special coast-to-coast type award for participating in both 13.1 mile runs in the same year.
Registration opens on September 22, 2015 at 12:00pm (Eastern).
