The recent auction at Sotheby's for the Global Fund, which fights AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria, raised over $26 million in donations and matching contributions. Included in the auction catalog was this one Stormtrooper helmet signed by George Lucas. Below is the condition report from Sotheby's.

Overall excellent condition. This work was especially selected by Jony Ive and Marc Newson for the (RED) 2013 auction and signed by George Lucas. Included is a cardboard box and printed material from the producer. This work is being sold with a certificate from the (RED) 2013 auction.

I'd be interested to know if this was indeed a screen used helmet. By the looks of it I'm guessing it isn't. It looks too clean I think. I'd also like to know what "printed material" was included. This could very well be the most expensive George Lucas autograph we've ever seen, but hey it is for charity after all.

Other interesting items included a RED branded Mac Pro tower which went for $977,000. A set of 18k gold Apple earbuds sold for $461,000, and a thermal window on the U.S. space shuttle selling for $920,000.

Poll
Now that you've seen the prototypes of Hot Toys' upcoming Movie Masterpiece Series MMS261 Han Solo and MMS262 Chewbacca 1/6 scale figures, our ever inquisitive Probe Droid is tasked to find out whether you are going to collect the line.
Hot Toys had me at "Hello There"
1/6 scale collecting has just lept forward. I'm in!
I hope the actual products are better than the prototypes, and if they are I'm interested in collecting this line.
This will be my first venture into the realm of 1/6 scale collecting...
I'm a 1/6 scale collector, but I'm not interested.
I'm not a 1/6 scale collector, so no, I won't get into this line (yet).
