Following our story yesterday on the Highbridge Audio Collector's Editions of A New Hope Original Radio Drama that will be released in November, one of the artists involved, Randy Martinez, has contacted us with a little side note.

This is what Randy had to say:
The collectible CD covers "Heroes" (left on the post) and "Villains" (right on the post) were illustrated by Matt Busch and Randy Martinez. Busch created the "Heroes" cover, while I created the "Villains" cover.

The Villains CD cover features all the main Villains from the Star Wars Radio Drama, including Lord Tion (far left) and Heater (Far right), who only appear in the Radio drama. If Lord Tion looks familiar to some fans, it's because I used myself as the model for the shifty imperial agent. I also appear as Lord Tion in the new Topps Trading Cards release "Star Wars: A New Hope Illustrated". As mentioned in the story, "Star Wars: A New Hope Illustrated" is being released in cooperation with the CD release of the Radio Drama.

It's really a fun time to be creating new Star Wars art, and revisiting old Star Wars memories. There is much more Star Wars art coming from me very soon!

A big thanks to Randy for getting in touch, and keep checking his website for exciting new Star Wars art!

Next September marks the twentieth anniversary of Hasbro's Kenner The Power Of The Force action figure collection. The line introduced a new generation of children to the wonderful world of Star Wars toys and ushered in the modern collectibles we all enjoy today. Our ever-inquisitive Probe Droid is actively searching all corners of the galaxy to find out if there is interest in products that commemorate this very significant 1995 release.
I'd be into a Hasbro The Lost Line style assortment
I'd love to see Gentle Giant make a Jumbo Kenner 1995 Luke Skywalker
I'm behind both of these ideas!
I got started in 1995, but I have no interest in such a concept.
It isn't for me.
