As distasteful as it may seem, for collectors loss is usually followed by demand, and many are now on the look out for products emblazoned with the late Ralph McQuarrie's art. The good news is, there will be more of this iconic artist's work available to us, the bad news is many people will be trying to take advantage of this sad situation. While we all lament over the loss of one of the most important people in the creation of Star Wars, we should celebrate his accomplishments in any way available to us, and in doing so we can keep his memory alive, but at the same time remain level headed in regards to the prices we're willing to pay. Let's face it, McQuarrie Is Forever, but inflated prices aren't.
