It was on the TV, it was in the action figure aisle, and eventually (finally) it was on the silver screen. But before it was, we were Living Star Wars at the newsstand and we couldn't be happier. In a lot of ways, the Star Wars stories published in popular magazines did more good than anything else leading up to the release date for The Phantom Menace and now with thirteen years of hindsight under our belts, there has never been a better time to relive the excitement we felt reading all those magazines with awesome Star Wars covers before we got to enjoy the first of the prequels.

Side note: while writing this I bought seven magazines I didn't currently own. Can't wait to get them!
