Announced on December 11, 2015, Sideshow Collectibles offered their Sixth Scale R2-D2 (Unpainted Prototype) figure to attendees of the 2016 San Diego Comic-Con. Marking their first on-the-floor exclusive since the 2012 Commander Ganch release. As they have in the past, Sideshow made a small quantity available to collectors that didn't attend the event.
