On November 17, 2011, Sideshow Collectibles published a preview page announcing both the 1/6 scale Militaries of Star Wars 442nd Siege Battalion Clone and Republic Clone Captain figures. The Republic Clone Captain was fully revealed twelve days later, and then, on December 1, 2011, it went up for pre-order. This figure began shipping in January 2012. The Republic Clone Captain figure was released without an exclusive edition.
