Jabba the Hutt Stand-In (Heater) Jabba the Hut Mosep - ANH Jabba the Hutt

One of our original questions from Hasbro's 74th Q&A Session, a question was asked regarding the original "Jabba" stand-in from the deleted scene from A New Hope, and there was some confusion over which character that stood in for the infamous crimelord.

For those who may not know, Jabba was originally going to be included in A New Hope, confronting Han Solo & Chewbacca in Docking Bay 94, played by actor Declan Mulholland. The actor was planned to be replaced by a stop-motion puppet, but the scene was eventually dropped.

However, the scene still appeared in the novelization and the Marvel Comics adaptation. For the comic, artist Howard Chaykin used a background alien from Mos Eisley when illustrating the character. "Jabba the Hut" also appeared in a few cameo appearances later in the seires.

The then-unnamed background alien has now been identified as "Mosep" and he has gained a bit of popularity over the years, and if he were to get made into an action figure, we could potentially get a comic pack as well using the same sculpt.

By the time Return of the Jedi was made, Jabba the HUTT was finally realized as a life-sized puppet.

Of course, when the 1997 Special Editions of the Original Trilogy were released, the deleted scene mentioned above was added back into A New Hope, with the actor replaced by a CGI Jabba, who looked more like himself. The 2004 DVD release also saw some further CGI enhancements, mostly to the texture of his skin.

A younger version was also included in The Phantom Menace, this time as a CGI character.

So, now you know the backstory...what about the question?

Rebelscum: Would you ever create a figure based on the original stand-in Jabba the Hutt from ANH deleted scenes? I'm talking about the fat guy in the furry vest! Since we have gotten some figures based on deleted ROTJ scenes, this version of Jabba would be a nice addition.

Hasbro: This figure, Mosep, does show up in the Marvel run of Star Wars comics. While he's not high on our list, it's an interesting possibility and we could get to him some day.

UPDATE: We have an update from Hasbro for this answer:
Hasbro: Our mistake - you are referring to the character known as "Heavy" played by Declan Mulholland. Sorry about that - the history of Jabba from concept to screen has been an interesting one with the human always being meant as a stand-in, and a humanoid alien populating the comics before the Hutt we know and love was finally visualized in EpVI. Honestly, we doubt we'll get to him.
