Star Wars Brand Manager Paul Palmer was on hand in Milwaukee for Gen Con 2001 to show off the POTJ line and answer questions. Being that Gen Con is a mostly gaming convention Hasbro decided not to show off any new product at this show. Everything that was displayed was already shown earlier this year at both the
Shreveport Sci Fi Expo and the
San Diego Comic Con. They will however be setting up camp at the August 17th,18th & 19th
Chicago Wizard World show with a few new items to show fans.

Wizards of the coast was on hand with this massive display. They also have some great
vitual coverage going at their official site located
here. Also shown above is a custom role playing diorama of sorts where gamers can use action figures!

Billy Dee Williams was in attendance this year. Above is a piece of his own artwork as well as a custom carded Billy Dee Williams two pack. This custom two pack was for sale at his booth and limited to only 100 numbered pieces. Billy Dee was late for signing autographs twice and charged a hefty $20 a pop for his John Hancock. Fans were not impressed.
Michael Stackpole, Shannon Baksa and Timothy Zahn signed autographs for free in the Decipher booth. The lovely Michonne Bourriague was also in attendance and signing autographs for fans. Steve Sansweet was on hand for his Star Wars : Connections presentation which focuses on the upcoming Episode II and how all the movies tie together. If you have a chance to attend Wizard World in Chicago, make sure you attend his seminar. As it's very worthwhile and informative.
The official
Star Wars website has also posted an article on Gen Con which can be read
here.
