R2-M5 R2-M5 ARTFX+ Pre-Painted Model Kit from Kotobukiya ARTFX+ Pre-Painted Model Kit

R2-M5 was a red R2-series astromech droid produced by Industrial Automaton that served the Royal Naboo Security Forces. It was one of the astromech droids aboard the Queen's starship as of 32 BBY. When a Trade Federation battleship opened fire on the Naboo Royal Starship, R2-M5 went out, along with R2-N3 and other astromech droids, to fix an imbalance in the starboard engines. Both droids were blasted off the hull.

Originally displayed in their booth at Celebration VI, Kotobukiya's R2-M5 ARTFX+ was always intended to be an exclusive, but it wasn't made available for pre-order until September 17, 2014. This great addition to their Astromech Droid ARTFX+ collection was available exclusively at Barnes & Noble stores in the forth quarter of 2014.

Back before the world wide web and social media ruled our shopping habits there was a long-established practice of driving around all the nearby toy stores to hunt down the latest releases. Obviously times have changed and online retail is far more important than it was twenty-five years ago - but has it killed the toy run? What was your shopping experience over the Triple Force Friday product launch weekend?
I managed to find everything I wanted in stores!
I found some but had to resort to big box websites to complete my haul.
I didn't bother stepping outside and ordered everything online.
I haven't bought any of the TFF product yet. Roll on clearance sales.
I'm waiting for the TV series/movie release before I commit.
I've so over it, no more Star Wars collecting for me.
