The Emperor sends a holographic message to Darth Vader, who is pursuing the Millennium Falcon through an asteroid field. "We have a new enemy," says the Emperor. "The young Rebel who destroyed the Death Star. I have no doubt this boy is the offspring of Anakin Skywalker." The Emperor and Vader agree to lure Luke to the dark side of the Force.

This version of Emperor Palpatine is based on his appearance in the new footage from the The Empire Strikes Back DVD release, which now matches the rest of the Star Wars saga.
This figure was originally released as Emperor Palpatine in the Power of the Force 2 line, but now he is translucent to simulate a hologram.
Also included with this figure is a folding pamphlet that shows other toys in the Original Trilogy Collection.
