R2-D2 R2-D2 Perfect Model Chogokin from Tamashii Nations Perfect Model Chogokin

We've followed the journey that lead to the November, 2017 release of Tamashii Nations' amazing Perfect Model Chogokin R2-D2 (A New Hope) 1/6 scale diecast figure since we first saw the prototype at their booth at the 2012 New York Comic Con.

The Artoo-Detoo featured on this page is the most screen accurate figure released to date of the iconic Astromech as he appeared in the original 1977 Star Wars feature film. Following their C-3PO Perfect Model Chogokin figure, released in 2013, Tamashii Nations spared no expense to include every detail you could want on this release. Not only is this the first 1/6 scale Artoo-Detoo to include Kenny Tubes, the R2-D2 Perfect Model Chogokin features a magnetic restraining bolt, three opening trunk compartments, two embedded hinge-articulated tool arms, two hinge-articulated trunk arms, springloaded third leg, light up dome, and a large selection of clean sound bites.

Back before the world wide web and social media ruled our shopping habits there was a long-established practice of driving around all the nearby toy stores to hunt down the latest releases. Obviously times have changed and online retail is far more important than it was twenty-five years ago - but has it killed the toy run? What was your shopping experience over the Triple Force Friday product launch weekend?
I managed to find everything I wanted in stores!
I found some but had to resort to big box websites to complete my haul.
I didn't bother stepping outside and ordered everything online.
I haven't bought any of the TFF product yet. Roll on clearance sales.
I'm waiting for the TV series/movie release before I commit.
I've so over it, no more Star Wars collecting for me.
