Slow, lightly armed and unreliable, the Rebel medium transport is a constant reminder to those who must use it just how many limitations under which the Alliance operates. Purchased in bulk at a greatly reduced price from the manufacturer, these ships can haul a vast amount of cargo and personnel. Despite their maintenance needs, they have proven invaluable in keeping the command infrastructure of the Rebellion mobile. During the evacuation of Hoth, they performed admirably under extremely harsh conditions, escaping an overwhelming Imperial land assault and a Star Destroyer blockade.
