    Comments: Biggs Darklighter grew up on Tatooine, constant companion to Luke Skywalker. The two boys constantly pushed each other to ever greater degrees of insane risk in the rickety landspeeders and aircraft they cobbled together from spare parts. Biggs eventually left for the Imperial Academy, returning to Tatooine only one last time to tell his friends of his plans to defect to the Rebel Alliance. Luke and he were reunited on Yavin just before the attack on the Death Star, in which Biggs was shot down by Darth Vader.
