Comments: An astromech droid on Queen Amidala’s Royal Starship, R2-B1 is one of the droids that tries to repair the ship’s damaged shield generator. As the starship attempts to get through the Trade Federation blockade, R2-B1 and another droid are destroyed by enemy fire, leaving only R2-D2 to complete the task.

    Points of Interest:
  • R2-B1 is a repaint of 2005's ROTS R4-G9. Also included is a repack of the droid harness from the original 2000 EPISODE IR2-B1 figure.
  • Since the original R2-B1 figure remains hard to get, it did well in the Saga Legends tournament. But many fans felt that they would rather see the droid upgraded to the new and improved sculpt. Hasbro listened, so that's what we see here. As a nice surprise, the harness is also included...another fan request!

Next September marks the twentieth anniversary of Hasbro's Kenner The Power Of The Force action figure collection. The line introduced a new generation of children to the wonderful world of Star Wars toys and ushered in the modern collectibles we all enjoy today. Our ever-inquisitive Probe Droid is actively searching all corners of the galaxy to find out if there is interest in products that commemorate this very significant 1995 release.
I'd be into a Hasbro The Lost Line style assortment
I'd love to see Gentle Giant make a Jumbo Kenner 1995 Luke Skywalker
I'm behind both of these ideas!
I got started in 1995, but I have no interest in such a concept.
    It isn't for me.
