This figure fist appeared on The Empire Strikes Back 31 back card. This figure was referred to as FX-7 (Medical Droid) only on The Empire Strikes Back cards. It was simply called FX-7 on Return of The Jedi and Tri-Logo cards.

Comments: This figure presents a riddle: What has nine arms, but only eleven fingers and eight elbows; one eye; a telescoping neck; and surprisingly, one leg to stand on? If you said “FX-7 (Medical Droid)” then you’re king (queen, or what have you) for a day. If you said “my crazy Aunt Ginny from Beaumont, Alberta”, it’s time to get an eye exam or a better family. What ever your story is, here's your chance to waste a good chunk of your day looking at one of the coolest action figures Kenner ever produced.

Major Variations: Though all vintage figures have minor variations, FX-7 (Medical Droid) had one variation worth noting. The figure was produced with two similar yet different head moulds. Both featured the same style of detailing, but the order of the details does not match in their placement on the figure’s head.

Mistaken as a variation is a shorter version of FX-7, which is actually a broken figure. In production, the base of this figure was simply glued on to the bottom and has been known to break loose.

George Lucas has announced he's done making blockbuster feature films after Indiana Jones 5. He states that one of the factors that weighted heavy on the decision was the negative comments made by fans. The Probe Droid is curious what you think about that.
We didn't mean it! Please make more movies!
Boo. I don't like that at all. More movies please.
We got six movies that tell the full tale. I'm happy.
Good for you George! You've earned it.
    Thank goodness!
I don't see the irony here.
