Comments: The vintage Rebel Soldier (Hoth Battle Gear) action figure was Kenner’s very first Rebel army builder figure, and in a lot of ways he was the best of the bunch. With no less than four play environments as well as the Taun Taun and Hoth back packs –not to mention the winter outdoor factor-, this was certainly a figure in its own element. In other enviroments such as Tatooine, not so much.

Major Variations: Though all vintage figures have minor variations, the Rebel Soldier (Hoth Battle gear) figure has a couple of major variations worth mention. The first is in the standard version of the figure. This version is available with the legs moulded brown with white pants painted on, and moulded white with brown boots and holster/tunic bottom painted on. Neither version seems to be any more rare than the other.

This figure was also one of the few to get a major make over in the Tri logo line. Where the common version of the figure sports light caramel brown accents, the Tri Logo version featured dark chocolate brown. The commonly coloured figure was also packaged on the Tri Logo cards, making the dark brown version much more scarce.

Now that you've had your first look at Hasbro's 2013 San Diego Comic-Con exclusive Black Series Boba Fett and Han Solo in Carbonite two pack, the Probe Droid is curious what you think of the set.

I'm not attending SDCC but hope to get this awesome set somehow.

I'm undecided but interested in seeing it added to the Photo Archive.
I'm more vexed at why toy collecting news is suddenly exclusive to USA Today instead of a site I go to for my Star Wars news...
