  • Point of Interest:
This figure first appeared on the Return Of The Jedi 65 back card.

Comments: When put side by side, the vintage Squid Head figure looks just as movie authentic as its modern-day counterpart. Truly, this figure was a marvel of Eighties’ toy making. Granted, unlike the newer version, the vintage figure has two pieces of material accessories. Two! The humanity...

Major Variations: Though all vintage figures have minor variations, the Squid Head figure has no major variations. Of interest however, are the different colours the cape was produced in. Even though colour variations on soft good accessories are common, the Squid Head cape has quite a few striking colour variations. Sadly, since the capes are removable, it is impossible to state that nay certain colour belongs exclusively to one certain international assortment. Despite the images on Return Of The Jedi card backs and the Jabba The Hutt play set, a black version of the cape was never released.

    Replacing the Cape:
Since this was one of the many figures produced with the removable style head that Kenner favoured using in most post Star Wars figures, replacing the cape is not as hard as it seems. With a patient, steady pull, the head can be removed and with a little pressure returned.

Now that you've had your first look at Hasbro's 2013 San Diego Comic-Con exclusive Black Series Boba Fett and Han Solo in Carbonite two pack, the Probe Droid is curious what you think of the set.
I'm attending SDCC and will certainly get this awesome set!
I'm attending SDCC but have no interest in this line.
I'm not attending SDCC but hope to get this awesome set somehow.
I'm not attending SDCC and have no interest in this line.
I'm undecided but interested in seeing it added to the Photo Archive.
I'm more vexed at why toy collecting news is suddenly exclusive to USA Today instead of a site I go to for my Star Wars news...
