It'll come as no surprise that the recently announced 75192 UCS Millennium Falcon goes on sale on October 1st, but you might want to hold off buying it until October 10th when a double VIP points offer starts. There's no word yet if the exclusive VIP card will be available in October though.

After spending the first quarter of the year denying the UCS Millennium Falcon existed and then the most recent quarter dropping countless Easter Eggs and teasers, LEGO is going all out and making it impossible for us to ignore that they have dropped the unexpected (typed with a touch of sarcasm) bombshell on us. And they aren't going to help us deny ourselves the pleasure of buying this set because - on top of the three exclusive posters that will be available on Force Friday II weekend - there is now going to be an exclusive card for LEGO VIP members who order their 75192 UCS Millennium Falcon on September 14th and 15th.

Because triple VIP points (worth US$120) and an exclusive polybagged Star Wars set from shop@home isn't enough - LEGO have sweetened the deal with not one, not two but three limited edition promotional posters. They will be free with a qualifying LEGO Star Wars purchase, while stocks last, and a different one will be made available on September 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Rebelscum will be revealing one per day - so click on the thumbnail above to see what the first one looks like.

At the moment this is for show only - VIP members will be able to order theirs on September 14th and 15th while the rest of the Star Wars public will have to wait until October 1st.

If you aren't aware that LEGO is bringing out a new UCS Star Wars set - which all indications point to a new Millennium Falcon - then presumably you've been living under a tree on Dagobah. If so the recently leaked Chinese flyer will get you up to speed. However there's more, because the bottom left corner sports the silhouette of a Star Destroyer. Anticipation metres tweaked this afternoon when LEGO posted a picture of a shrouded box on their social media streams. The mystery box is covered in a layer of white gauze and is positioned next to a 10258 London Bus set. Some fans have said the inclusion of the iconic double-decker is for scale while others have noted that every time the Millennium Falcon has appeared in a Star Wars movie is has been filmed in London, while other fans have taken to more digital forensic techniques and blasted the image with special filters and ground penetrating radar to reveal a LEGO logo (shock) and some strange outlines that supposedly represent a cockpit and the forward mandibles. All I can see is a sailboat. Turning the heat up even further is this post at Promobricks which reveals that the September calendar has early bird access to two new exclusive LEGO sets.

While LEGO isn't accepting any more Ideas proposals for any of IPs that they have already licensed, we wanted to highlight this Cloud City play set, built at MicroFighter-scale because it is so inventive. Unlike many Ideas pitches this hasn't been mocked up with a CAD package but is actual (ABS) bricks and mortar. And while it is compact and bijou - the set includes all the iconic Cloud City locations - it uses space well and circles around the gantry where Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader had their famous father and son face off. You'll have noticed that a lot of the coverage on the leaked The Last Jedi sets is starting to get pulled down. While there are some hold outs and others, despite it being nearly a week, haven't even been contacted by the company with four letters in its name it is still pretty easy to find these images. Highlighting how ridiculous it is that certain sites are being targeted while others are being ignored is this blog post by fellow AFOL and Star Wars fan Gilles Paul Tassarb. He has found a notable way of circumventing the confidential nature of the sets by pointing out that Chinese bootlegger LEPIN has already copied them and is currently distributing them via aliexpress.com. Rebelscum is in no way encouraging the sale of counterfeit licensed Star Wars merch though. So just look.

With its Ed Sheeran-like appearance this latest minifig security breach this minifig reportedly represents General Hux in The Last Jedi. While he is known to have survived the destruction of Starkiller Base in The Force Awakens and Domhnall Gleesonhas been confirmed as reprising the role in the next episode, it is not certain that this is a genuine minifigure. As has been pointed out in a number of AFOL forums this minifigure could be easily replicated by putting a Obi-Wan Kenobi hair piece on a General Hux minifig from 75104 Kylo Ren's Command Shuttle. But given there are still three sets that are complete unknowns the chance that this minifig will get released is moderately high.

While it's certainly not official yet, a number of European retailers and wholesalers in Germany, Italy, Hungary, Poland and Greece have listed a mysterious "LEGO 75187 - Star Wars - Confidential brick Build Bb-8" as being available from September 1st, 2017. While recommended retail prices vary between €99.99 and €120.00 this is less an indication on the uncertainty of this listing and more a reflection on the domestic economies of the Eurozone nations. This information was first revealed on Eurobricks.com by PrisonBrick who comments that since the set seems to be getting a wide release it won't be the usual Direct To Consumer (D2C) exclusive that an Ultimate Collector's Series set normally is, and is unlikely to get the UCS badge.

Sporting a very George Michael look is the latest incarnation of hero of the Resistance, Poe Dameron, from The Last Jedi. This minifig is expected to be released with 75188 Resistance Bomber and depicts Poe in some kind of crash harness or flight suit. It is worth noting that this leaked image has a long blaster instead of the shorter one shown on the boxed proof images that were leaked in May. This marks the fourth in a full set of five minifigs from the 75188 Resistance Bomber set, with Resistance Gunner Paige still AWOL.

With news that the San Diego Comic-Con exclusive for 2017 is a BrickHeadz Spiderman/Venom and Supergirl/Martian Manhunter many are reflecting on the entire nature of the convention exclusive. For some the annual hunt for the LEGO convention exclusive is an integral part of the event while for others - mostly those who can't go in person - it is a major speed bump to maintaining a complete collection, and the latest issue of Blocks Magazine has an editorial on it reports Brick Fanatics. It's worth noting that LEGO currently has three BrickHeadz themes - DC, Marvel and Disney - and so far two of the three are being represented at SDCC. Is there room for another or would that triple the ire aimed at LEGO already?

With a day between unofficial photo releases the LEGO The Last Jedi leakapolooza seems to be tailing off now. Here is the Resistance Bomber Pilot that will be included in the 75188 Resistance Bomber (see our earlier report for a description and images). This minifig has the same face, torso and leg print as the Resistance Bombardier minifig, but comes with a new single piece visored helmet. Truth be told, it's not a great picture and only marginally better than the one that came with the boxed minifig lineup but the Aurabesh on the helmet is readable. Does anyone want to translate it? We'd love to hear from you if you manage to figure out what it says.

You take your eyes off the internet for five seconds and another preliminary minifig gets posted. Making its debut in the pantheon of leaked The Last Jedi minifigs is the First Order Walker Driver from the 75189 First Order Heavy Walker set. You'll have caught a glimpse of this minifig in our 75188 Resistance Bomber reveal in May, so here is a bigger and better shot to whet your appetitie for the upcoming The Last Jedi sets due to be released by LEGO in September. The latest pre-released minifig image is of Rose, a new character who is said to accompany Finn on a side mission in The Last Jedi and will come in an as yet unknown set. The torso and leg print shows a non-descript maintenance workers outfit, and all-in-all it's a rather non-descript minifig that is somewhat reminiscent of the LEGO version of Irina Spalko from the IJ: Kingdom of the Crystal Skull sets.

Roving reporter for the official Star Wars website, James Floyd, has submitted his field report from LEGOLAND California's Star Wars Days (June 3rd and 4th). His in-depth coverage does a great job at describing the look, feel and flow of the event and delves into the local LUG fan build display, the special screening of all five episodes of LEGO Star Wars: Droid Tales and all the interactive events like the costume and trivia contests, a scavenger hunt for exclusive Droid Hunt ribbons and the cosplay parades held by the 501st and Rebel Legions, Mandalorian Mercs, Saber Guild, and R2 Builders clubs. You can read James's full write-up at the official Star Wars site now.

Sporting a new quilted tabard, Kylo Ren displays his rage face in this new The Last Jedi minifig which is from an undocumented set - no points for suggesting Kylo Ren's TIE Fighter though. We are guessing that the head piece is dual-sided, with the reverse depicting a less aggressive visage. It is interesting to note that the scar Kylo Ren received in his duel with Rey in The Force Awakens is in the controversial location that The Last Jedi director Rian Johnson moved it to. Grr, continuity, growl, fans unite, grr.

Today's first The Last Jedi minifig leak is the latest non-commissioned officer to join the ranks of the First Order defence force. In the packaging shot we posted of this minifig it is show with the shoulder pauldron on the right shoulder so one would assume the example in the image above was assembled incorrectly. In comparison with the First Order Stormtrooper minifig that came with 75103, 75132 and 75139 it is clear that the helmet and front print on the torso is not unique.

Like a cross between The Ancient One (Doctor Strange) and Johan van der Smut (from Goldmember) is Supreme Leader Snoke in an open-necked belted tunic. One can only assume that the original live-action version will have a tan Jedi-like robe rather than the gold lamé jumpsuit that you know you are expecting. This minifig was first revealed in the 75190 First Order Star Destroyer packaging shots we posted two weeks ago and this image was found on /r/legoleaks if you are source hunting. One last Austin Power's gag - snoke and a pancake anyone?

You'd be pardoned for thinking this is a rathtar or sarlacc set but it's not - click through for a look at the new Finn minifig. While he is still wearing Poe's jacket it is a revised print and is showing a bit of wear and tear, and comes with a printed blaster holster on the leg piece now. It's safe to say that this minifig will have an alternative face print. The set from which this minifig comes from has not been identified, and with the revelation of a Resistance Trooper minifig we have clues on potentially two sets from the first The Last Jedi set wave due out in September. Not long now!

First seen on the leaked photograph of the 75190 First Order Star Destroyer set, we now have a close up shot of BB-9E - presumably the E is for evil. Clicking through will show that the ball-bearing shape of the BB series has been kept intact but a new head element has been designed. It is safe to assume that the print is replicated on all four quadrants.

Another photo of a rumoured minifig from The Last Jedi has surfaced via Delta.Custom's instagram account, which is believed to be a Resistance Trooper from one of the The Last Jedi sets. It doesn't match up with any of the sets that were leaked at the end of May which has raised conjecture that one of the smaller sets will have some troops in it.

If there's one way to get traffic to your website it's to post an enticing LEGO Star Wars rumour, and the latest one centres around an UCS BB-8. This one has been circulating for a month or two in the rumours section of the Eurobricks forums, thanks to credible source Sir Von LEGO, and has gained an extra level of credence now Brickset has added 75187 BB-8 to their database. There's very little information there yet - and certainly no images - but the box size and weight is similar to 75094 Imperial Shuttle Tydirium and suggests around 860 pieces. If you're still in need of an image click on the MOC BB-8 above and jump to forum member Tetangco Fett's thread on the one he built.

And I mean awesome because Walmart have absolutely debased their prices! Here's an assortment of purchases Rebelscum readers and form members have reported: 75111 Darth Vader buildable figure for $7, 75120 K-S20/75525 Baze Malbus/75121 Death Trooper buildable figures for $5, 75154 TIE Striker at $17, $17 for 75102 Poe's X-wing Fighter, 75151 Clone Turbo Tank for $47, 75156 Krennic's Shuttle for $35 and perhaps most impressively 75157 Captain Rex's AT-TE at $30, a mere shadow of its original RRP of US$120. The over-riding trend in these bargains is that they were found using the Walmart app. Prices do vary a little so the numbers given above are medium averages.

Remember when news of the 40268 R3-M2 polybag came out and the LEGO Star Wars community were divided over its authenticity? Well, here's another supposed polybag - this time it's a Coastal Defender Stormtrooper - aka Shoretrooper - aka Scarif Trooper. Again there's no clue on provenance nor how it will be distributed, and the number 40176 has yet to be attached to a set in the Brickset database. So if you want to put on a pair of Scepticales(TM) before you click on the thumbnail above you'd be perfectly entitled too. Thanks to Anon for sharing his find.

UPDATE: It has been pointed out that, on closer inspection, this minifig has a kama which makes it a Shoretrooper Squad Leader. Thanks to Jens Hansen for pointing this out.

Eagle-eyed LEGO.com visitors in Russia spotted an interesting graphic on the Russian-language LEGO website earlier today. If you are part of that certain subset of LEGO Star Wars collectors who favors promo bricks then this auction for a very limited edition perspex LEGO brick with an embedded BB-8 minifig in it is worth checking out. Only given out to the Traveller's Tales development team who worked on The Force Awakens video games, released in 2016, this is a rarity you hardly ever see come up. While numbers are not known, one only needs to check out the game's end credits to see how few there are of these. There are still a handful of hours left to go before the auction ends, and the current bid is still nowhere near where this LEGO Star Wars fan predicts it will end.

Dutch online retailer Sinqel has listed two new buildable figures to the previously reported 75166 First Order Transport and 75167 Bounty Hunter battle packs, 75178 Jakku Quad Jumper, 75180 Rathtar Escape and the recently photographed 75182 Republic Fighter Tank, 75183 Darth Vader Transformation, 75185 Tracker I and 75186 The Arrowhead. You can now expect to add 75531 Stormtrooper Commander and 75532 Scout Trooper & Speeder Bike to your collection. Check out the link - images are all place holders and prices are in Euros though.

Hot on the heels of the sketchy trade catalogue images that came out a couple of days ago are two sneaky photos of the 75182 Republic Fighter Tank and 75183 Darth Vader's Transformation which are believed to be due out in the second half of 2017. With blacked out or generic representations of minifigs the sets displayed in these images are mock-ups typically shown at closed door trade events when toy companies solicit new products to retailers. Hit the banner above to go direct to the imgur gallery before they disappear under the weight of cease and desist orders.

The latest compilation of the German language version of the monthly LEGO Star Wars Magazine is out now. This "best of" digest contains a selection of the previous four issues' comic strips and comes with the mini Naboo Starfighter or Snowspeeder. With a cover price of €3.50 it's quite the steal. Inside it are six pages of LEGO Star Wars sets - many of which are already on toy store shelves - with regional release windows and prices. Thanks to Nick P for the timely reminder.

Images of several LEGO Star Wars sets that are due out this summer have been posted to Imgur.com. The pics, which are low resolution, include 75182 Republic Fighter Tank, 75183 Darth Vader's Transformation, 75185 Tracker I and 75186 The Arrowhead. Take the link and do what you've got to do because LEGO will be on to these pretty quickly now they've been outed.

Because one new astromech in a plastic bag wasn't enough, here is another to add to your collection. Brick Depot, a chain of LEGO Certified Stores in Romania, is offering this specially packaged version of a unique droid created by Disney for their Rogue One Droid Factory set, free with a €24 purchase of LEGO Star Wars sets in one of their three stores in this European country. Given that the minifig comes with a base with a Technic pin which could be used to connect other droids, it is Rebelscum's summation that matching droids from the Droid Factory set are likely. Note that the dome element seems to be segmented which has lead some to conclude that the top of the minifig can be rotated. It has also been noticed that the edge of the base is curved as if it is the end piece in a set. Snaps to Graham at Brick Fanatics for the share. You can enjoy discussing this new minifig set in the dedicated 40268 R3-M2 thread in the LEGO section of our forums.

Two years ago a new Rebel Snowspeeder set became the talk of the forums, and last year LEGO Star Wars fans began to hype up an A-Wing Fighter for 2017. Instead, after much speculation and rumour-mongering, the wise folk at LEGO decided to release a modified UCS Death Star, which sported a semi-prominent silhouette of the Millennium Falcon on it. This gave rise to the suggestion that the next UCS set would be an updated replacement for the highly sought after 10179 Millennium Falcon set. The tenacity of this rumour has gained ground now that The Brick Fan has posted a speculative report on its existence. Pinches of salt are being doled all round, but remember that this is the same site that pretty much confirmed the 75159 Death Star, five months before LEGO confirmed it so clumsily. If you enjoy surmising and postulating on the next LEGO Star Wars sets then head to the LEGO Star Wars 2017 News and Discussion thread in our forums and join in the chatter.

All across the brick press is the news that LEPIN is being sued by rogue Danish toy manufacturer, LEGO, for infringing on their intellectual property, as well as their franchised themes such as the popular Star Wnrs line. LEPIN are notorious for their highly accurate and much cheaper construction sets that are obviously knock-offs of the Danish firm's products - a trend that has seemed to be on the increase since LEGO opened more production facilities in China.
