Gentle Giant has announced they will begin processing pre-orders for their Battle Droid Mini Bust on Tuesday afternoon at 4:00 PM PST, and are encouraging those that have this piece on order to double check their account to insure their credit card and shippnig address are correct and up to date. No General Mills Star Wars Promotion For Canada

General Mills confirmed today that their cereal box promotion for The Phantom Menace is not currently planned to hit Canadian supermarkets. Canadian collectors looking forward to getting the pen sets and cereal boxes in their collections should start looking at acquiring the US packages.

eBay Today: Why Mark Hamill Is Awesome

When I stumbled across this one I knew, just for the back story alone, it needed to be spotlighted on eBay Today. Since we could ask Mark Hamill to authenticate the piece itself we did but he didn't get back to us in time. That said, I've compared the writing on this piece to all the handwritten examples I have, and there are a lot of consistencies. In my opinion it looks legitimate, and that makes the story extra cool. Follow this link to read the description on the Mark Hamill Autograph & R2-D2 drawing auction and marvel at the artistic skills of Luke Skywalker. Of course, if Mark gets back to us before this auction ends I'll make sure to let you know. Also, despite the cool story, this piece should only be worth about $250...

A Conversation At Sideshow Collectibles

A couple of weeks back I took a trip down to Thousand Oaks, California to talk with Brant Bridges to discuss what Sideshow Collectibles has planned for 2012, but through a series of comical goofs, the three hour visit that would have yielded two interviews, one for here and one for CTR, was cut down to a thirty-eight minute conversation. Star Wars Tins $5 At Five Below

While shopping with the family this past weekend, I came across a trio of small collector tins at Five Below. For only $5 each, you can have a small 4-5" tall metal collector tin with the likeness of R2-D2, Darth Vader, or Boba Fett. They are secured with a lunchbox-style clasp, and they include a small handle on the top.
