Classic (FlashBack) POTF2 Figures
| During 1998 Kenner promised a tie in between the current action figures and the Episode 1 figures. This emerged with the appearance of the new card in the Pre-Toy Fair '99 Hasbro catalog. The particluar image Hasbro used caused quite a stir among collectors since it was a new card, an original Luke Tatooine and a short saber in a long slot. You can see it here. Each of the cards has a "Flashback Photo" that changes from one character photo to another via a shutter effect when you pull a tag on the front of the card. The first set of figures that arrived are known as the "Classic Eight." |
