LUKE SKYWALKER (DAGOBAH FATIGUES)

US card

European card: red with Star Wars tri-logo

Assortment: 69570 REV D

Availability: June 1996 to Dec. 1997

Variations:

  • Rectangular Bubble
  • Short Saber in Long Tray (Stand Up Bubble)
  • Stand Up Bubble

Comments: He came in the third wave with a short saber. He was the most famous European red card pegwarmer although he was available only 18 months. This figure has the particularty to have the strangest variation : short saber in long tray in Stand Up bubble due to inner bubble production problem during the short transition time corresponding to the change of the rectangular bubble to the Stand Up bubble. It is also noticable that the saber of the regular version is located low in the rectangular bubble and high in the Stand Up bubble.

Moving into our nineteenth year of shooting Star Wars collectibles, we pause for a moment to consider legacy. Our photography is obviously recognizable because of the blue background, but looking further back, especially after we published The Man Who Shot Luke Skywalker galleries last December, we've put our minds to offering more classic Kenner backgrounds to our galleries. Follow this link to have a look and then let us know if you'd like to continue to explore this train of thought.
Focus on the Rebelscum legacy and keep it blue.
I love the nod to Kenner's history. I'd love to see Rebelscum embrace a more colourful vision.
