This long awaited volume finally offers readers a glimpse at Ralph McQuarrie's previously unseen artwork, including his early technical illustrations, science-fiction book cover and interior art, movie posters, commercial work, film and television work, personal pieces, and the largest single-volume collection of his original artwork for the Star Wars Trilogy (making up one-third of the books content).
The Art of Ralph McQuarrie is fully annotated, including comments and anecdotes from Ralph himself, and also features a brand new foreword by George Lucas, an introduction by art director and production designer Doug Chiang, and appreciations from visual effects supervisor Ken Ralston and actor Anthony Daniels.
