COMMENTS
According to the inside cover, the events in this issue takes place 16 months after the Battle of Geonosis.

We learn that Ki-Adi-Mundi's family has been killed during the Battle of Cerea, and how he was able to have a family in the first place.

This issue marks the second ship that Obi-Wan crashes during the Clone Wars, the first being in Republic #50.

Alpha's departure to Kamino to train new clones and Anakin's suggestion to name them foreshadows the use of names for Clones in Revenge of the Sith.
SYNOPSIS
Anakin Skywalker awaked from a nightmare of haunting images. He gets up and decides to work on his starfighter, which is a form of moving meditation with him.

His new master, Ki-Adi-Mundi interrupts him, explaining that the two of them need to work together. Ki-Adi is saddened by the loss of Anakin's old master Obi-Wan Kenobi as well. However, Anakin does not feel that Kenobi is dead. Ki-Adi promises he will help guide Anakin through this difficult time.

Meanwhile aboard their stolen ship, Alpha and Obi-Wan are in search of a planet to land on. Being pursued by droid starfighters sent out by Asajj Ventress, the duo's ship is nearly done in. They decide that their best bet is the nearest, but not necessarily, hospitable planet of Riflor.

Near the planet Varonat a squad of Jedi Starfighters including Ki-Adi-Mundi, Anakin, Adi Gallia, and Plo Koon are attempting to force a pirate vessel to stand down. Anakin veers away, having a vector on the pirate mothership, when he suddenly zones out. He has a vision of Obi-Wan's ship crashing on a planet.

He snaps out of his vision just in time to avoid smashing into the pirate vessel. He zips up over the top, skimming the surface and causes the ship to explode in a massive fireball. He shouts excitedly, which Ki-Adi chastises him for, but he says he's just so happy that Obi-Wan is alive.

Adi Gallia decides that Ki-Adi-Mundi should join Anakin and they should set off in search of his Master. They set off in a direction intimated by Anakin, towards Riflor.

On Riflor, Obi-Wan and Alpha are defending themselves from a squad of Asajj's soldiers, when the soldiers are suddenly gunned down by some bounty hunters looking to pick up a quick score on a Jedi. They are surrounded and outnumbered, but Obi-Wan senses that help is on its way.

Anakin and Ki-Adi make a hasty planetfall, calling in for reinforcements. Obi-Wan leads himself and Alpha directly into a trap. Of course, it turns out to be a trap for the bounty hunters as Anakin and Ki-Adi-Mundi leap into the fray and assist in the mopping of half a dozen bounty hunters.

Later on the Republic assault ship, Obi-Wan tells his compatriots that he must brief the Council on what he has learned about Asajj Ventress, when Alpha walks in, with new armor, and mentions that he must return to Kamino. He is off to train a new batch of Clone Commanders that will be more independent, akin to ARC troopers. Kenobi and Alpha share final pleasantries before he leaves. The Jedi that remain joke amongst themselves as the ship travels off into space.
