COMMENTS
This issue continues the official four issue adaptation of Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith.

As with many film adaptations, this particular issue has a scene not included in the final film which shows several other Order 66 execution scenes.

Bacara is misspelled Bacarra in this issue. The final issues of the Republic comic series (#81-83) indicate that Vos survived the explosion on Kashyyyk.
SYNOPSIS
Anakin is shocked. Palpatine is the Sith Lord! Palpatine, using his silver tongue, tells Anakin that he is actually being persecuted by the Jedi Council. That they are the ones that are out for power. That he can train Anakin to harness the power, to save his wife.

Anakin meets up with Mace Windu and several other Council members on the landing platform and tells them what he has learned. Mace orders him to stay there while they deal with Palpatine.

Mace and the Jedi Masters enter Palpatine's office to arrest him. But the Chancellor has other ideas, draws his own lightsaber and strikes down three of the Jedi. Anakin returns having made his decision and discovers Mace and Palpatine locked in a fierce battle. Palpatine becomes drained using his Force lightning and Mace asks for Anakin's help. Instead Anakin slices off Master Windu's sword arm and Palpatine Force pushes him out his window to his death.

Anakin pledges himself to Palpatine and the dark side. He is rechristened Darth Vader and is ordered to the Mustafar system to take care of the Separatist leaders.

On many planets around the galaxy, clones commanders receive Order 66 and begin turning on the Jedi Generals they have served with. Utapau. Mygeeto. Felucia. Kashyyyk. Yoda senses the disturbance and manages to escape with the help of a pair of wookiees.

Back on Coruscant, Bail Organa approaches the smoking Jedi Temple asking a clone what happened. He then witnesses a young Padawan gunned down by the military. Bail takes off in shock.

Anakin returns to Padmé where he explains what is going on but pledges his loyalty to her. He asks her to distance herself from the traitors in the Senate. Meanwhile he will travel to Mustafar to bring peace to the galaxy once and for all.

Bail boards his starship, the Tantive IV hoping to save a few Jedi. On Kashyyyk, Yoda bids farewell to Tarfful and Chewbacca, while Obi-Wan escapes from Utapau.

Bail manages to pick up both remaining Jedi and the decide the must return to Coruscant and turn off the beacon calling Jedi home to the Temple, a sure trap.

On Mustafar, Lord Sidious informs the Separatist leaders that they should shut down their droid armies and his newest apprentice will take care of them. Vader arrives and in fact does just that -- with his lightsaber!

Next September marks the twentieth anniversary of Hasbro's Kenner The Power Of The Force action figure collection. The line introduced a new generation of children to the wonderful world of Star Wars toys and ushered in the modern collectibles we all enjoy today. Our ever-inquisitive Probe Droid is actively searching all corners of the galaxy to find out if there is interest in products that commemorate this very significant 1995 release.
I'd be into a Hasbro The Lost Line style assortment
I'd love to see Gentle Giant make a Jumbo Kenner 1995 Luke Skywalker
I'm behind both of these ideas!
I got started in 1995, but I have no interest in such a concept.
It isn't for me.
