There were actually two volumes of the German Star Wars comic book series, originally titled Krieg Der Sterne. This series ran from 1979 to until 1986, and were released 4 to 6 times a year. Each issue reprinted between 3-5 issues of the ongoing Marvel series. In 1984, the series started over with a new #1 and the international title Star Wars. There were also two movie adaptations...Das Emperium Schlägt Zurück (2 issues) and Die Rückkehr Der Jedi-Ritter (1 issue.)
