With Star Wars becoming such a popular series of comic books the world over, it stands to reason that there would be news reports and parodies based on the comics and the movies as well.

Marvel Age was a comic-sized news magazine that reported on the latest news in the titles the publisher reported, and Star Wars was featured several times. In addition, the fan magazine FOOM (Fans Of Old Marvel) also ran a feature on Star Wars, and all three covers are featured below.

As far as parodies are concerned, there are many instances of this throughout comic books, including the 1991 Epic limited series Samurai Cat, who showcased a lightsaber battle on the third issue's cover.

Finally, there was a short comic book story (of sorts) that was really a Return of the Jedi contest for the film and the toys that was bundled into random titles.

Poll
George Lucas has announced he's done making blockbuster feature films after Indiana Jones 5. He states that one of the factors that weighted heavy on the decision was the negative comments made by fans. The Probe Droid is curious what you think about that.
We didn't mean it! Please make more movies!
Boo. I don't like that at all. More movies please.
We got six movies that tell the full tale. I'm happy.
Good for you George! You've earned it.
Thank goodness!
I don't see the irony here.
