With a hilt constructed from hand-machined and die-cast metal components, the Anakin lightsaber's electro-luminescent blade is encased within a permanently attached, durable blade. Once activated, the blade glows brightly and the lightsaber plays digitally recorded sound effects taken directly from the film. Intregrated sensor switches control the pitch and playback of the lightsaber sounds, including an impact sound when the blade encounters an obstacle.
