Very little is known about the enigmatic Sith Lord known as Darth Maul, sinister apprentice of Darth Sidious in Star Wars: Episode 1-- The Phantom Menace. However, his brief appearance left an indelible mark on the Star Wars universe. It is evident that his skill with the lightsaber is almost unmatched. Maul dispatched the Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn, and nearly succeeded in slaying Obi-Wan Kenobi as well. Darth maul's deadly lightsaber is as unique as his frightening visage. For the first time in the Star Wars films, we are introduced to a double-bladed lightsaber.
