Comments: The brave droid R2-D2 has helped the Rebel heroes many times. He goes with Luke Skywalker to the planet Dagobah, where Yoda teaches Luke the ways of a Jedi Knight. Luke tries out his new skills by lifting R2-D2 into the air using only his mind, causing the droid to scream in surprise. When Luke leaves to save his friends from the evil Empire, R2-D2 goes with him, ready to help the Rebels once again.

Points of Interest:
  • Two-stage button! Press briefly for robotic chatter and light. Press and hold button for robotic "scream" and light.
  • While this R2-D2 figure does not include any other title description, it is part of the Dagobah-themed wave and therefore is listed that way in our archives.
  • This figure of R2-D2 is based on the Coruscant Sentry version from the Saga line, except this version does not have the middle leg and the sounds are different.
  • Also included with this figure is a folding pamphlet that shows other toys in the Original Trilogy Collection.

Back before the world wide web and social media ruled our shopping habits there was a long-established practice of driving around all the nearby toy stores to hunt down the latest releases. Obviously times have changed and online retail is far more important than it was twenty-five years ago - but has it killed the toy run? What was your shopping experience over the Triple Force Friday product launch weekend?
I managed to find everything I wanted in stores!
I found some but had to resort to big box websites to complete my haul.
I didn't bother stepping outside and ordered everything online.
I haven't bought any of the TFF product yet. Roll on clearance sales.
I'm waiting for the TV series/movie release before I commit.
I've so over it, no more Star Wars collecting for me.
