  • Comments: Appearances can be deceiving - a saying never more true than in the case of Emperor Palpatine. In his early days as a senator of the Galactic Republic, Palpatine seemed like an ordinary politician. However, as the Republic fell apart, the senator's hidden thirst for power grew and his true evil spirit became apparent. He declared himself Emperor of the galaxy, and used the dark side of the Force as a means to enforce his tyrrany. He nearly succeeded in wiping out the Jedi Knights, who stood as the most potent threat to his reign of terror. As destiny would have it, Luke Skywalker, the son of Palpatine's loyal apprentice Darth Vader, would ultimately bring about the evil Emperor's downfall.

    Points of Interest:
  • This figure was the first version of Emperor Palpatine to include individual legs, although the plastic robes hindered any type of posing.
  • The Force Lightning Bolts are longer than previous versions, and they attach to the figure's sleeves.

Back before the world wide web and social media ruled our shopping habits there was a long-established practise of driving around all the nearby store stores to hunt down the latest releases. Obviously times have changed and online retail is far more important than it was twenty-five years ago - but has it killed the toy run? What was your shopping experience over the Triple Force Friday product launch weekend?
I managed to find everything I wanted in stores!
I found some but had to resort to big box websites to complete my haul.
I didn't bother stepping outside and ordered everything online.
I haven't bought any of the TFF product yet. Roll on clearance sales.
I'm waiting for the TV series/movie release before I commit.
I've so over it, no more Star Wars collecting for me.
