The European versions of POTF2 American carded figures are known as Trilogo because the Star Wars logo on the card front is printed in three languages (English, French and Spanish). But what is often missed is that the rest of the card (mainly the characters names and bios translations) are in five languages - English, French, German, Spanish and Dutch - however Italy has its own cards, from Giga, that are all printed Italian. Otherwise the European cards are exactly the same as their American counterparts apart from a few differences:

Due to the large number of language variations and the somewhat longer translations (particularly in Dutch and German) the 'Power of the Force' tagline is omitted in order to save space.
The single largest difference in European figures is that every figure kept their card back and card colour in the same format that they were originally released instead of having had red, green or Freeze Frame variations.

The POTF2 line arrived in Europe in 1995 a few months after its release in the USA. Initially seven figures were available on red cards and nine new figures on red cards followed the next year. Green cards appeared in 1997 and continued to be sold through to 1998 with some minor changes to the logo and character photo.

Although the two first years have seen all the US production released on European card, the availability of all POTF2 figures on the European market was getting worse and worse later. Ultimately there were 47 POTF2 figures that never had a European carded equivalent.

Rebelscum invites you to follow our daily POTF2 European Photo Archive and to discover all the carded figures with the main variations.
