Comments: Coming from a childhood in which he was warmed by a mother's love amid slavery and deprivation, Anakin is thrust into a world of power and politics that is overwhelming for a small boy from a remote desert world. Heralded by some as a figure from prohecy, Anakin embraces the challenges of being a Padawan in training to become a Jedi Knight. But a dark side stirs within him as he grows into a young man. He struggles to control the darkness that he senses gaining power over him, but his hold on the light side and discipline is precarious. Unsettling intimations of the violent fury within him emrge as he battles the enemy with the powerful Jedi skills he has learned. Headstrong and impetuous, he desperately tries to maintain his fragile hold on the goodness nurtured in him by family and friends since his childhood, but the dark side of the Force feeds on his inner fury and grows stronger with each passing day.
