After establishing a secret base on the ice planet Hoth, the Rebel Alliance is quickly alerted to an impending Imperial invasion. Rebel Alliance troopers learn that the Empire will procedd with a massive ground assault. With great bravery and a willingness to sacrifice themselves for the Rebel cause, these troopers dig in and fight gallantly against an Imperial enemy that is more powerful and better equipped than they are. Although the Empire is successful in defeating the Rebels at Hoth, the Rebel troopers are able to provide enough resistance to enable a full evacuation of Echo Base.
