Designed with Darth Vader’s personal input, the TIE Advanced x1 Starfighter takes full advantage of the uncanny reaction speed and three-dimensional awareness of a pilot trained in the use of the Force. At the battle of Yavin, Darth Vader engages Rebel pilots in deadly close-quarters dogfights, easily outfighting all comers. It is only a lucky shot that sends the low-mass starfighter spinning out of control into deep space, leaving Darth Vader as one of the few Imperial survivors of the battle.
