Rebelscum presents a new way to search for information about Star Wars collectibles. Right now, the Jedi Archives collectibles database contains information about more than 30,000 items including variations. Data is constantly being added and updated as new information is gathered. Needless to say, it is an ongoing process. Please send any comments or questions to Anne.
More than Hasbro
Hasbro is one of hundreds of manufacturers of Star Wars memorabilia listed in the database.
Search by UPC or other keyword
Search the database by title, manufacturer name, character name, exclusive distributor, UPC, or Rebelscum ID.
Browse by category
Collectibles have been placed into many categories to ease the pain of browsing tens of thousands of items. In many cases there are categories within categories to further narrow the search.
Tied to Rebelscum's photo archive
If Rebelscum has a photo archive for the item, you will be able to click to it from the database.
Lots of data
An attempt has been made to collect every conceivable piece of data about each collectible. This is to help you identify your items accurately. Explanations for each piece of data are:
Verified Status
If an item is labeled as verified, then the information below has been checked and confirmed. Otherwise, data can be missing or incomplete for that item.
Licensed or Bootleg
Most items are officially licensed by Lucasfilm, but many items have surfaced that are not. These are called bootlegs. An item may be labeled as bootleg, otherwise it is a licensed item.
Manufacturers
The name of the company who makes or distributes the item. Most of the time the name is found on the packaging, sometimes it is not. In some cases, there may be multiple manufacturer names on an item. This is because it may be a joint venture between two companies or it may be that one company is a subsidiary of another. One may be the actual maker and the other the distributor. In any case, to help with identification, all are listed.
Countries of Origin
Many manufacturers distribute in more than one country. For example, the UK and Australia often get the same items. Or items released in Canada may also be found in the U.S.
Variation Descriptions
Many items come with variations whether it is the color of Darth Maul's vest or the border around a trading card.
Package Part#
Part numbers can usually be found on the package, sometimes they are listed only in catalogs.
Package UPC#
Earlier collectibles did not have UPCs (Universal Product Code), some modern ones may not either. UPCs are usually located on the back of the package and are associated with a bar code.
Package Year
This is the latest year printed on the package. Most of the time this is a copyright date. Some items may have multiple dates, especially books, but the latest date is listed to identify the year in which the item was made.
Date first available
When known, this is the date the item first became available. It can be different from the Package Year since packages can be made long before the item hits distribution.
Original Retail Price
This database is not a price guide because in today's modern world prices can change from day to day. However, we have listed the original retail price for comparison sake. This may also be an auction price if a unique item was only offered at auction. Many items do not have a price especially those that are store displays or cast and crew memorabilia.
Quantity Made
If known, this is the quantity available. Most of the time this is associated with exclusives where a limited number production is advertised. Some items may be unique and only one exists. For most retail items this number is not known.
Book Author
If the item is a publication, this is either the main author or a listing of authors.
Book ISBN
A books ISBN (International Standard Book Number) can be located either on the cover or within the first few pages of the book. If the item is a magazine, this may be the ISSN (International Standard Serial Number).
Book Binding Type
Books can have a different binding which changes the nature of the book: paperback, hard cover, library binding (tougher than hard cover), spiral-bound, etc.
Book # of Pages
The number of pages in the book is also listed to indicate the size of the publication.
As Hasbro is so important to any Star Wars collectible listing, there is some additional information specific to Hasbro.
Hasbro Assortment#
On most Hasbro/Kenner items an "Asst" number is listed on the package. These numbers help Hasbro, distributors, and retailers identify each unique item.
Hasbro Collection#
Hasbro action figures have come in "collections", meaning the package has said "Collection 1 or 2 or 3" on them. Here are the general meanings of each collection, but not strictly adhered to:
