Star Wars Transformers
You know, when we first heard about a Star Wars Transformers line last summer, we were pretty skeptical. Then we saw the pictures, and we were REALLY skeptical. Now that we've had a chance to play with these toys, they're actually a lot of fun. So, they really ARE "More than meets the eye!"

There will be 10 toys in this line for 2006, and we've already seen the first wave of 4 at retail stores, and all were on display at Toy Fair:
  • Darth Vader / TIE Fighter
  • General Grievous / Wheel Bike
  • Luke Skywalker / X-Wing Fighter
  • Obi-Wan Kenobi / Jedi Starfighter

We've already seen previews of the next wave as well, which consists of 3 toys. These are due in March:
  • Anakin Skywalker / Jedi Starfighter
  • Boba Fett / Slave 1
  • Darth Maul / Sith Infiltrator (not on display at Toy Fair)

So, the 3 new toys that were presented for the first time are the following:
  • Clone Trooper / ARC-170 Fighter
  • Emperor Palpatine / Star Destroyer
  • Jango Fett / Slave 1

Each toy comes with a 2” character figure that operates the respective vehicle from its cockpit. In addition to these "basic" Star Wars Transformers, there will also be a deluxe model that allows two figures to combine into a single vehicle, complete with lights & sounds:
  • Han Solo & Chewbacca / Millennium Falcon
