2017 Keepsake Ornament
Hallmark introduced a new line of interactive Keepsake ornaments in April, 2017. Collectors were able to see the first three (of seven) pieces in the Star Wars Storytellers collection at the PopMinded by Hallmark booth at Star Wars Celebration Orlando 2017 including the Death Star on this page, Darth Vader's TIE Fighter, and X-Wing Starfighter ornaments. Each of the three sport color changing light up features along with sounds and dialogue from the epic climax of A New Hope when connected to a Keepsake Power Cord. Hallmark has added a special treat for collectors that purchase more than one piece in the Storytellers collection: Perfectly synced lights and sounds to recreate the Battle Of Yavin!
The Death Star ornament, along with the Darth Vader's TIE Fighter, are slated for a July 15th release with the X-Wing Fighter following on October 7th. Two more ornaments will join the collection in 2018, and this series will be wrapped up in 2019 with two more pieces.
