You first heard about it right here on Rebelscum, but it wasn't officially announced until the 2012 San Diego Comic-Con. The set is essentially a repaint of the previously released big AT-AT. Beyond paint designs and plastic colours, the toy is exactly the same as the previously released version with The Empire Strikes Back Hoth deco. All of the sound bites are the same as well.
