Scavenging Jawas find R2-D2 in the Jundland Wastes. They incapacitate the droid and attach a restraining bolt to keep him from escaping. The plucky astromech droid is then place in the cluttered hold of the Jawas’ sandcrawler.
Points of Interest:
R2-D2 is a repaint of the figure from 2005's Early Bird Kit, which was based on 2004's VOTC R2-D2. In addition, a new non-removable side panel with restraining bolt has been added.
This version of R2-D2 is a combination of the entire "Jawa Capture" sequence: the energy effect is from when he gets blasted by the Jawas, however, he also includes a restraining bolt, which was not installed until afterwards.
This figure contains an extra "Droid Factory" piece to Build-A-Droid. This figure includes R3-A2's head & middle leg.
This figure has also been found in LC wave 13, with the left leg of BG-J38.
